How we do it
Initial Visit
The initial visit is really to work out between us what it is you want your garden to do for you. It is a chance to share ideas, discuss your likes and as importantly your dislikes. We will give you sound advice on what is likely to work best in your garden. You may of course have a firm idea of exactly what you want and we completely respect that. You, of course, have the final say; it is your garden after all! You will be able to view our portfolio, if you haven’t had a chance to look at our “What we have done” page already. It’s also helpful to give some thought to your budget.
Site survey
In order to draw up a plan it will be necessary to measure the main features of your garden. This will either be done on the first visit or at a subsequent more convenient time
Return visit
On this visit you will be shown your own unique hand drawn, properly scaled drawing of your proposed garden design. We will take you through the drawing to make sure you are fully happy with it. We will also provide you with a formal quotation and we can discuss timescales for implementation.
Commencement of work
Construction - We will implement the plan as if it were being built in our own garden. You can be assured of a professional approach and of quality workmanship. We will keep you abreast of what is going on and we will start and finish your project before we go to another project. We will tidy and clean the site daily.
Planting – We offer a full planting service if required. Garden sanctuaries has real expertise regarding all types of plants with the owner Bob Tridgett winning BBC Gardener of the year in 2007 and an RHS silver-gilt medal in 2008. Whether it’s a low maintenance planting scheme or a complex and integrated plan you can be assured that you will receive expert advice on the right plants for the right place.
After care
Once you garden project is completed you can be assured of expert advice on the best way to look after it before we leave. Alternatively, we can set up a formal maintenance schedule where we come in at regular and appropriate intervals during the season to keep it in order.
